Geographical Features：Kaohsiung City is situated in the south of Taiwan between 120° 14' 30" - 120° 23 '30" east longitude and 22° 30' 30" - 22° 45 '30" north latitude. The labor population numbers 668,000, and the rate of employment is 95.4%. Furthermore, the consumer price index in Kaohsiung locally was 99.8 in 2004 (2001=100).
